Do you want to learn to surf in Spain? Then this is the place for you!
The A-Frame Surf School in southern Spain offers surf courses for every level. Experienced surfers who do not want to book a surf lesson or course can hire a surfboard at our surfboard rental and take on the world-class waves on their own.
Highly qualified and experienced surf instructors teach you how to surf - in small groups or in individual coaching. If you are an advanced surfer and don't want to book a surf course, you can rent a surfboard in our surfboard rental and conquer the waves on your own.
Location of our El Palmar Surf school
The A-Frame Surf School and our two camps are located directly on the beach at El Palmar, a small Spanish coastal town near Conil de la Frontera. Our surf school is located on the Costa de la Luz, which means “Coast of Light”. This beautiful stretch of coast deserves its name. With 300 days of sunshine a year, Andalusia is one of the sunniest regions in Europe and even in winter it is wonderfully mild. You can holiday here any time of the year and expect pleasant temperatures and quality waves to learn to surf.

If you want to spoil yourself during your surf holiday, we recommend a stay in one of our surf camps. At the A-Frame Surf & Yoga Camp we offer surf courses and yoga classes as well as delicious food and comfortable accommodation.

More details about our El Palmar Surf & Yoga Camp
At our camp you will find peace and quiet, learn to surf, relax and strengthen with yoga and enjoy fantastic food. You will stay in beautiful Andalusian-style accommodation while enjoying plenty of privacy. Now all you have to do is make up your mind: Would you rather live directly on the beach or in the idyllic and peaceful countryside? At the beachfront camp you have breakfast with sea view. The Oasis Camp is a bit quieter and each accommodation has its own garden. Also, from here it is only a stone’s throw (400m) to the beach.
El Palmar Yoga & Surf
The surf lessons take place five days a week, with both camps together. At any time you can join an open yoga class and find your inner balance on your mat with a view of the sea.
Yoga Camp in El Palmar
Yoga has a very special meaning for us as well as surfing. We believe that these activities complement each other perfectly and therefore we offer both: Yoga and surfing. The yoga classes take place in our beautiful wooden yoga house overlooking the ocean. All yoga equipment is provided, you don’t have to bring anything but comfortable clothes.
Yoga classes take place almost daily at the A-Frame Yoga-House. The timetable can be found at elpalmaryoga.com. If you want more yoga during your vacation, you can sign up for a yoga retreat or yoga holiday at our camp.
The surrounding area of El Palmar
In addition to the excellent waves, the beauty of Andalusia can be seen in and around El Palmar. Between gentle hills and blue sea you can explore traces of the region’s Moorish past. This can be found in the architecture of southern Spain as well as in the food. Explore the famous white villages of Vejer and Conil de la Frontera. Watch whales and kite surfers in Tarifa and try some delicious tapas in the beuatifu cities of Cadiz, Jerez and Seville. There is so much to discover…

The waves are constant in El Palmar all year round. In high summer, surf beginners can enjoy small waves to practice. The rest of the year there are beautiful waves for all surf levels. The surf spot at Playa El Palmar is legendary in the Spanish surf scene. Surfing in El Palmar means 8km beach break with waves for beginners and advanced surfers. Here every surfer has a lot of space and finds a lonely peak. Around El Palmar you will find many other surf spots for surfing like Caños de Meca, Fuente de Gallo, Cabo Roche or Barbate.

Besides the surf school and the surf camp, we also have a surf shop in El Palmar. In the A-Frame Surfshop you can find everything that makes the surfer's heart beat faster.
